Nymfaio House is a newer building, a replica of a three-storey, traditional Nymfaio mansion, which the local Community built specifically as an exhibition space, to tell visitors the history of the settlement and to house the important collections of relics of its inhabitants, especially the rich silver and gold collection.
Thanks to the large donations of Nymfaiotes, it was built and decorated internally by local folk craftsmen of the area, from 1998 to 2000, on the initiative of the then president of the Community, Nikolaos I. Mertzou. As a museum, it was inaugurated in September 2000 by the President of the Republic, Kostis Stefanopoulos.
In 2022, Polyptychon undertook the museological re-approach and the enrichment of the exhibition with the design of a modern identity, the design and production of new signage, the production of exhibition videos and the construction of a website.
